A short notice for a small yard. We collect what we need to answer your enquiry and build and deliver your order, we do not sell it, and we do not run advertising trackers. Here is the detail.
Who we are
Wildyard, trading from 37 Wilson Court, Trumpington, Cambridge, CB9 2GU, is the data controller for the personal information described here. For anything about your data, write to sales@wildyard.co.uk or call 07436 441534.
What we collect and why
When you enquire
When you write to us — through the form on this site, by email, by phone or on WhatsApp — we hold what you send: usually your name, email, phone number, postcode, a description of your garden and access, and any photographs. We use it to reply, to work out whether and how we can deliver to you, and to quote. Our basis for this is that it is necessary to take the steps you have asked for before a contract.
When you order
If you buy through the site, payment is taken by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and we never see or store them. Stripe passes us your name, email address, the UK delivery address you entered, the specification you chose and the amount paid, and keeps its own records under its own privacy policy. We use these details to confirm and build your order, arrange delivery, keep warranty records and meet our accounting and tax obligations. Our basis is performing our contract with you and complying with the law.
When you visit the site
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, its servers keep standard technical logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested and timings — for security and to keep the site running. We do not run advertising cookies, third-party trackers or a newsletter list, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Who sees it
We share personal information only where it is needed to do the job: Stripe for payments; Vercel for hosting; our email and messaging providers for correspondence; and, once you order, the haulier and any crane firm we arrange, who receive your name, delivery address and a contact number so they can find the gate and ring you on the day. We do not sell or rent your details to anyone. Some of these providers process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are covered by the UK’s adequacy decisions or standard contractual safeguards.
How long we keep it
If you enquire and do not go on to order, we delete your enquiry and photographs within twelve months of our last exchange. If you become a customer, we keep your order details, correspondence and delivery notes for the length of your warranty and for as long as tax law requires us to keep business records, which is currently six years after the end of the tax year in which you paid. Then we delete them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we no longer need it, and object to or restrict how we use it. Write to sales@wildyard.co.uk and we will respond within a month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Changes
If we change how we handle data — for example by adding a newsletter or analytics — we will update this page first. This version was last updated in September 2026.
